The dSVB is up on dreamwidth! I’ve imported over our livejournal entries & will work with @clevermanka on a sticky post/intro, bio, community guidelines, etc. This also seems like a good opportunity to revive the “ds virtual fridge” tag for the things we’re copying over!

Just a head’s up that I’m making membership something mods have to approve for now–I’m not overly concerned about DW but given recent events on tumblr I’m a little wary about bots at the moment. If you have any questions about setting up a DW account or getting access to the community if you’re already on DW, please reach out!
Obviously not everyone is going to want to create a dreamwidth account, & that’s fine! This comm will still exist here as long as tumblr fails to kick me off. But please don’t let any reluctance about DW or skepticism about whether anything will actually happen on Dec 17 prevent you from making any requests about posts you’d like to see preserved. It’s better safe than sorry, & I’d rather that we back things up & end up not needing it than vice versa.
If there is anything you feel is particularly important & should be copied over to the DW community, please let me know. If you are someone who has posting privileges on the dsvirtualbar tumblr account & you have the post handy, please reblog it with the tag “to archive”. If not, please send me a link or at the very least as much information about the post in question as you can provide (who originally posted it, who might have reblogged it, what it was about, & key phrases you might happen to remember). You can get this info to me by PMing me, reblogging this post, or by commenting on this DW post. Please do NOT send me an ask or just tag me on a random tumblr post!
